Patrimonium Asset Management AG is expanding the infrastructure business with a climate infrastructure programme tailored to qualified investors. The forward-looking portfolio is managed by the experienced investment specialists Corneliu Dehelean and Bigna Berchtold (both former employees of EBG Investment Solutions AG), who are joining the Patrimonium Investment Team in Zurich, under the leadership of Reto Schwager.
Private market investments focused on sustainability are gaining in importance at the Patrimonium Asset Management Group (PATRIMONIUM), which has around CHF 3.2 billion of assets under management. Besides the successful mainstay in rail transport, which was established in 2015 and has so far invested more than CHF 300 million in freight wagons in Europe, the area of sustainable investment is now being expanded with a focus on climate-relevant investments.
Patrimonium’s Climate Infrastructure Program encompasses the topics of renewable energy sources, resource and energy efficiency, infrastructure for electric vehicles, smart networks and transmission as well as social infrastructure, which covers education, health and social living. Investments are made both directly and indirectly in Europe and North America.
PATRIMONIUM is thereby intensifying the integration of sustainability criteria in its investment policy. The company achieved its first official UN PRI rating in 2020.
Christoph Syz, CEO, says «We are extremely happy to pursue our venture in the infrastructure sector, which started with a very successful strategy in the railcar niche, and look forward to our new climate infrastructure program – an exciting investment field with a strong ecological dimension”.
