The first investment of Patrimonium Investment Foundation’s “Sustainable infrastructure (evergreen)” investment group was successfully completed at the end of February 2024. Made as a co-investment with a European fund manager, it consists of a portfolio of integrated photovoltaic installations for private households in Germany, developed and installed by the company Enpal.
In total, the portfolio consists of around 60,000 photovoltaic installations with a combined electricity production capacity of 550 MWp, 55,000 battery storage systems and 30,000 charging stations for electric vehicles. This investment comes against a backdrop of rising energy prices, reduced dependence on fossil fuels and increased demand for renewable energy.
Enpal is renowned for its innovative technology and business model. The leasing of photovoltaic systems, batteries and charging stations gives private households access to sustainable, individual energy solutions without any initial investment. Enpal monitors and maintains the solar installations.
Long-term leases provide investors with predictable cash flows. The expected average return on this investment is around 10% per annum.
This transaction is the first highlight of the investment group’s co-investment strategy.
